A man has been arrested in connection with indecency in Braunstone Park. The update follows an appeal made by police earlier this week.
At around 1.30pm on Thursday, March 24, and 9.15am on Monday, March 28, a man was seen touching himself inappropriately in the park. Several reports were made to the police, who issued an appeal earlier this week of someone officers would like to speak to regarding the incidents.
On Saturday (April 23) a 21-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of outraging public indecency, and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries from officers.
People who may have information about the incidents are still being asked to get in touch with police. You can do so by contacting them on 101 or using the police website and quoting reference number 22*175882.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “A man has been identified after an appeal was issued following two reports of indecency. At around 1.30pm on Thursday 24 March and 9.15am on Monday 28 March, a man was seen touching himself inappropriately in Braunstone Park.
“An appeal was issued earlier this week with an image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with the incidents. Yesterday (23 April) a 21-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of outraging public indecency.
