Firefighters were called in to help after a car came off the A47 and rolled onto its roof.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement about the incident that they were called with a report that one vehicle had been involved in a road traffic collision and that it was on its roof with one person trapped inside.

The A47 had to be temporarily closed while the casualty was helped out of the vehicle. At 8.15am the fire service reported: “The casualty has now been released from the vehicle and is in the care of the ambulance service and is being transported to hospital for further assessment.”
The incident is continuing to cause traffic issues at 8.50am but it is expected to re-open shortly.
