What are the key external threats facing UK security today and how are European countries working together on defence issues? To what extent is NATO still relevant? And what is Liberal Democrat policy in relation to all of this?

Join Dr Phil Bennion and Dr Carol Weaver for an engaging discussion on these issues at a time of increasing global instability.

Dr Carol Weaver, former Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate and academic author, will offer expert analysis on European and American responses to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and outline possible future scenarios.

Dr Phil Bennion, Vice President of Liberal International and former Liberal Democrat MEP,

will explore conflicts across Europe and the Middle East in the context of EU policy and merging international commitments.
