Japanese souffle pancake brand Fluffy Fluffy has confirmed when its new Leicester dessert cafe is to open – and there isn’t long to wait. The new Granby Street eatery will open its doors on Saturday, August 5.
The Canadian dessert brand, known for its “viral-sensation” light and fluffy pancakes, will be open from 12pm until 9pm Monday to Thursday and 10am until 10pm Friday to Sunday. This will be the company’s second UK site, following the success of the Manchester venue, which opened last October.
The new Fluffy Fluffy outlet will include the brand’s signature open-kitchen concept, yellow and white decor, and a mix of tables and booths which will seat 22 people. It says customers’ pancakes will be made “with love and TLC right before their very eyes, before being stacked and topped with an array of dreamy toppings.”
Fluffy Fluffy’s Japanese-style souffle pancakes are hand-made to order using fresh ingredients. Every pancake begins with egg whites whipped to soft peaks (part of the secret behind the lightness, according to the brand) which is then slowly cooked at low temperature to achieve the signature round cloud-like pancakes.

These are then topped with options including Nutella and Banana, Tiramisu, Biscoff, Creme Brûlée, Strawberry and Blueberry. Fluffy Fluffy Leicester will also be serving up a range of speciality drinks including fruity fizzy sodas, iced coffees and matcha specials.
