Kwoklyn Wan set for Leicestershire food festival appearance

Celebrity chef Kwoklyn Wan will appear at a Leicestershire food festival this month. Oadby Food Festival is to return for 2025, and will showcase various local food and drink stalls bringing “flavourful curries”, “sweet treats” and a “taste of Italy”.

Leicester-born Kwoklyn, who has appeared on ITV’s This Morning and Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch, will be The Parade, in Oadby, on the day. A baking competition is also set to take place, and there will be free samples on offer as well as giveaways.

As well as food, local broadcaster EAVA FM will bring music and dance acts to the festival, and M&S stars Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar are also to make an appearance. A stall with free face painting will also be set up, and there will be a street party seating area.

The free festival is run by Oadby and Wigston Borough Council who have partnered up with Visit Leicester for the occasion. The event will run from 11am till 5pm on Saturday, August 30.
