National Space Centre

National Space Centre

Leicester's space museum is a fascinating introduction to the mysteries of the spheres. With six interactive galleries, the UK’s largest planetarium, unique 3D Simulator Experience and the iconic 42m high Rocket Tower, the award-winning National Space Centre is an out of this world experience.

Fun, kid-friendly displays cover everything from astronomy to the status of current space missions. The centre is off the A6 about 1.5 miles north of the city centre.

Each year the Centre hosts many special weekends including celebrations of Star Wars, LEGO and Daleks. School holiday periods are always exciting, as the Centre adds lots of workshops and talks into the mix, so advanced booking is advised.

Don’t forget that if you book in advance you will beat the queues, be able to upgrade to a FREE Annual Pass allowing you to return free of charge – and there are no booking fees!

The National Space Centre is also a unique venue for a wide range of events, from conferences to wedding receptions and Christmas parties. Making the most of the spectacular content and the state-of-the-art building, including the UK’s largest planetarium, the Centre offers a wide range of dynamic venue space for conferences, meetings, weddings, team building, parties and private functions.
