Search launched for girl, 14, who has gone missing from home

Police have launched an urgent appeal after a 14-year-old girl went missing from her home in Leicester this evening.

Rosie Dunphy, who lives in south of the city, was reported missing at 6.15pm.

Police have released a photograph and detailed description of Rosie and appealed for public help to find her.

In a statement this evening, Leicestershire Police said: “When she was last seen, Rosie was wearing a grey hooded top and black leggings with black trainers.

“She is also believed to be wearing a black padded coat and may be carrying a black Nike rucksack.

“It is believed she may be in south Leicester, Wigston or Leicester city centre.”

“Anyone who has seen Rosie – or knows of her whereabouts – is asked to call 101.”

She is 5ft 3ins tall and has shoulder-length, straight brown hair, which is worn down, and blue eyes.
