The incident comes a day after the road policing team pulled over a driver on the M1 who was weaving across the lanes of the motorway while reading a text on his mobile phone.
The team tweeted: “This morning we saw this driver weaving around in his lane on the M1. Got alongside and he’s reading a text off his phone! When stopped he speaks little English but fluent Italian. Once again no problem, so do I. Reported.”
