Aakash Odedra Company are back in the studio with their new programme of dance classes aimed at pre-professional level dancers aged 16+. From October to December 2021, this programme, Aakash Odedra 2 Local, will give dancers in Leicester and the surrounding areas the opportunity to learn and study contemporary and South Asian dance techniques.

Explore and develop your professional dance practice in ten weekly 2-hour dance classes. Work with internationally renowned artists including Aakash Odedra, Aditi Mangaldas, Kesha Raithatha, Melissa Ugolini and Gizem Aksu to receive individual feedback and improve your technique, developing your skills and experience in dance styles that may not be familiar to you.

As a participant you will also have access to optional bi-weekly seminars on a range of transferrable skills in education, producing, marketing and fundraising to develop your industry knowledge. The classes and seminars together will give students the opportunity to grow their professional network of artists and industry experts and work closely with a diverse range of dancers.
